More people in Richmond will have better access to team-based health care with a new urgent and primary care centre (UPCC) opening on April 25, 2022, at its permanent location at 110-4671 No. 3 Rd.

A new state-of-the-art emergency department and intensive care unit are just two of the improvements people in Richmond will see with more services and better health care as the Province moves ahead with an approved business plan for an expanded Richmond Hospital.

A new state-of-the-art emergency department and intensive care unit at Richmond Hospital will bring more services and better care for people in this growing community. 

Premier John Horgan has announced that the replacement for the original Richmond Hospital tower is moving ahead, and a new patient care tower is on the way for people living and working in Richmond.

The provincial government is supporting planning for a new patient-care tower at Richmond Hospital and the ministry expects work on the business plan could begin in fall 2017.

In partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health and Richmond Hospital Foundation, the Province is moving forward to start plans for a new replacement patient care tower at Richmond Hospital.
