After the dust settles, people with severe addiction and mental illness can find help meeting the challenges of 'day-to-day' living, with two new Assertive Community Treatment teams.

It can be hard to find help when you're on the streets. Youth who are lost, alone and struggling with addictions or mental illness will have more support with the doubling of the Inner City Youth team in Vancouver.

Twenty-six communities throughout the province will receive 2014 Age-friendly BC grants to support a variety of projects designed to help older adults stay mobile, physically active and healthy.

Oct. 1 is National Seniors Day and a perfect time for British Columbians to pay tribute to those who have helped to build our province.

Continued funding of $500,000 for the Age-friendly Community Planning and Project Grant program will help support seniors in every region of British Columbia.
