As more family doctors and nurse practitioners join B.C.’s health-care system, the Province is expanding the Health Connect Registry to better connect primary-care providers to the people who need them.

Beginning June 1, 2023, communities in British Columbia can apply for funding aimed at helping seniors lead independent, active lives.

An innovative agreement has been ratified between the Nurses’ Bargaining Association (NBA) and the Health Employers’ Association of BC (HEABC) under the Shared Recovery Mandate that increases wages, introduces workplace reforms, improves working conditions and strengthens patient care throughout the province.

The Medical Services Commission of British Columbia and Telus Health have reached a settlement regarding Telus’s LifePlus program.

The Province is enacting a new regulation effective immediately to ensure that diabetes patients in B.C. do not experience a shortage of the diabetes drug semaglutide, known widely as Ozempic.

Together, the Province, the BC Nurses’ Union and the Nurses’ Bargaining Association (NBA) have achieved a new staffing model and more supports for nurses to strengthen B.C.’s health-care system and patient care.

British Columbians will be the first in Canada to benefit from universal coverage of prescription contraceptives, beginning Saturday, April 1, 2023.
