Allie Auger knows the importance of skills training.  A member of the Saulteau First Nations, Allie is an Aboriginal Skills Navigator for the New Relationship Trust.

A series of community-based job skills training courses in northeast B.C. will support First Nations members becoming job-ready for B.C.’s growing liquefied natural gas and natural resource sectors.

Connecting First Nations members to skills training and jobs. That’s something Tara Alfred works to achieve every day. 

First Nations involvement with B.C.’s developing LNG industry received another boost with a new Pipeline Benefits Agreement (PBA) with the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation.

New training programs funded by the B.C. government will help Gitxsan Nation members improve their job readiness and find new career paths in the emerging liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry. 

As an Aboriginal Skills Navigator in B.C., helping First Nations members overcome barriers to skills training and access family-supporting jobs is something Gloria Catherall is passionate about.
