Up to 42 British Columbians in Williams Lake and surrounding areas are getting the training they need for jobs in their community, thanks to a federal-provincial partnership under the Canada-B.C. Job Fund Agreement.

The Government of British Columbia has issued the following statement in response to the federal government’s announcement regarding the multi-billion dollar Airbus program for new search and rescue aircraft:

Up to 200 people in Greater Vancouver are receiving the training they need for jobs in their communities, thanks to the federal-provincial partnership under the Canada-B.C. Job Fund Agreement.

Up to 29 British Columbians in Delta are getting the training they need for jobs in their community, thanks to a federal-provincial partnership under the Canada-B.C. Job Fund Agreement.

Government is investing more than $630,000 to find new ways for refugees and immigrants to join British Columbia’s growing economy.

The British Columbia government has committed more than $81,000 for two new labour market partnership projects with agriculture-horticulture and landscape-horticulture industries in the province, to help identify their labour needs.

The B.C. government announced that Okanagan College will receive more than $218,000 for an innovation pilot that will improve training outcomes and employability for apprentices.
