Sixty people on northern Vancouver Island are beginning a 25-week training program to learn the skills necessary to work as aquaculture technicians in the aquaculture industry.

Ensuring that our youth have access to business skills, are better prepared to enter the labour force and have the information necessary to consider an entrepreneurial career choice is why the Province is providing a grant of $1 million to Junior Achievement B.C. (JABC), announced Minister of Finance, Kevin Falcon at the BC Business Laureates and Junior Achievement Gala Dinner event.

The achievement of more than 60 local Aboriginal youth who have successfully completed the BladeRunners program was celebrated today at a graduation ceremony hosted by the Cariboo Chilcotin Aboriginal Training Employment Centre Society (CCATEC).
