People living in Chilliwack with complex mental-health and substance-use challenges will have access to enhanced services as the Province adds as many as 22 complex-care housing spaces.

People living in Maple Ridge with complex mental-health and substance-use challenges will have access to enhanced services as the Province adds eight complex-care housing spaces to serve the community.

A new wellness and recovery centre in Nanaimo will expand and integrate harm reduction, and treatment and recovery services to connect people with substance-use challenges to life-saving supports.  

Young people living with substance-use challenges and their families are able to access new and enhanced substance-use services closer to home through a substantial expansion of addictions care throughout B.C.

Sheila Malcolmson, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, has issued the following statement regarding the BC Coroners Service’s report on illicit drug toxicity deaths in October 2022:

People living on the Sunshine Coast with complex mental-health and substance-use challenges will have access to enhanced services as the Province adds complex-care housing services for approximately 25 people in the region.

Young people in Richmond will have access to more mental-health and substance-use services with the opening of the Foundry centre’s permanent location.
