South Asian people who are struggling with mental-health or addictions challenges in greater Vancouver now have access to expanded services provided by the South Asian Community Hub Society (SACH).

B.C. is taking action to make illicit drug use illegal in all public spaces, including inside hospitals, on transit and in parks.

People facing complex mental-health, addiction and housing challenges will benefit from better access to housing with the wraparound supports they need.

The Province is significantly increasing the funding many service providers rely on to deliver thousands of registered or licensed treatment and recovery beds throughout B.C. as part of Budget 2024.  

Young people experiencing homelessness in Vancouver and struggling with mental-health and addictions challenges will get better access to care and supports to help them find a pathway to recovery and a better life. 

More young people will have better access to vital health-care services closer to home, such as primary care, counselling, early intervention, prevention and addictions supports, with 10 new Foundry centres throughout the province.
