The Province continues to enhance B.C.'s response to the toxic-drug crisis.

People experiencing homelessness in the Fraser Valley, including people living with complex mental-health and addiction challenges and people living in temporary housing facilities, will get help as two supportive housing sites open to residents in Mission and Maple Ridge.

The Province is reviewing a recent report by B.C.’s provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, about the Prescribed Safer Supply program (prescribed alternatives), while making immediate updates to the program based on her recommendations to reduce unintended harms and help people living with addiction stay alive.

People in Ktunaxa Nation communities living with complex mental-health and addiction challenges will benefit from new housing and tailored supports to help them stabilize their lives and break the cycle of homelessness.

More young people in British Columbia will soon have access to vital mental-health and substance-use supports as communities can now submit applications to bring a Foundry centre to their area.

Young people in Powell River and surrounding areas will have access to much-needed integrated health and wellness services, including mental-health and addiction supports at a new Foundry centre.
