Young people living in the Comox Valley and surrounding areas will soon have access to new mental health, wellness and substance-use services with the opening of Foundry Comox Valley where they can get the supports they need to thrive.

Health-care and community social services workers throughout British Columbia will be able to access more mental-health supports as the province expands tailor-made programs for the sector.

A panel of subject-matter experts convened by the BC Coroners Service is calling for increased access to a safer supply of drugs and creation of an evidence-based continuum of care to better support substance users and reduce the number of illicit drug-related deaths in B.C.
