British Columbia's goal to diversify the natural gas sector and expand market access to the province's abundant supply of clean energy took another step forward today with Pacific NorthWest LNG submitting an export application with Canada's National Energy Board (NEB).

Premier Christy Clark has issued the following statement on flooding in British Columbia and Alberta.

Premier Christy Clark welcomed the news that two companies, BG Group and Imperial Oil/ ExxonMobil Canada Ltd. have both filed liquefied natural gas (LNG) export applications with the National Energy Board.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier Douglas Horne will represent the government of British Columbia at the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region's (PNWER) winter meeting in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, this week.

"I was saddened to be advised that the mission at Johnsons Landing has now been re-classified as a recovery. At times like these, it is difficult to give up hoping for a miracle," said Premier Clark.
