In September 2019, Simon Fraser University (SFU) students will be able to train, for the first time, in new state-of-the-art facilities for sustainable energy engineering, a program unique to Western Canada.

Students in British Columbia are getting more affordable post-secondary education, and instructors are benefiting from high-quality, innovative teaching materials, because of an investment in open education resources (OER).

Eight hundred and six former youth in care are now accessing post-secondary education and skills training through the Provincial Tuition Waiver Program, an increase of 326% since government launched the program.

Starting this year, students at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) will be able to complete their full engineering degree close to home in the North, with a provincial investment of $3.5 million in new learning facilities.
