Twenty-four Indigenous students in the Cowichan Valley will gain culturally relevant skills and knowledge to provide specialized early childhood care in their community.

The Government of British Columbia has underscored its commitment to work with Indigenous peoples in the spirit of respect and collaboration by introducing a set of draft principles designed to guide the daily work of provincial government employees. Don Wright, head of the BC Public Service shared the draft principles with all 27,000 public service employees on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

An additional 40 engineering diploma and certificate seats at Vancouver Island University will give more students access to the technical skills needed for good-paying jobs in the booming tech industry.

More extensive renovations to accommodate industry-standard equipment will ensure power-engineering students at the College of New Caledonia can access up-to-date equipment and facilities.
