The illicit drug overdose crisis has taken over 2,000 lives in British Columbia since January 2016, and the province is likely to surpass the 1,500 mark for deaths in 2017 alone. 

The road assessment that helps determine whether drivers can safely remain at the wheel will be enhanced next year, becoming more accessible and more focused on making B.C.’s roads safer for everyone.

British Columbians will benefit from safer roads, and be able to pay their traffic fines more easily, once the Province moves to electronic ticketing (eTicketing) under new legislation introduced today.
