The Province has appointed 30 people to help develop British Columbia’s first two standards for accessibility: the employment accessibility standard and the accessible service delivery standard.

As many as 30 eligible British Columbians living with disabilities will receive skills training to prepare them for jobs as food-service assistants on the Lower Mainland.

As many as 16 eligible British Columbians will receive skills training to prepare for employment as professional truck drivers.

As many as 120 eligible people will receive training to prepare them for employment in wildfire and integrated natural resources fields in five regions around the province.

To further reduce period poverty and increase access to free menstrual products, applications for funding are open.
