To support the 111th Grey Cup in Vancouver, the Province is providing $3.5 million for a six-day fan festival and to create legacy projects that will benefit the tourism sector and local communities.

To celebrate BC Culture Days from Sept. 22 until Oct. 15, 2023, hundreds of free activities and events are scheduled throughout British Columbia.

Nominations are open for the Province’s Medal of Good Citizenship for 2023.

The Province and viaSport are improving safety in sports by continuing to provide education about safe sport, and by taking steps toward an independent complaints process for B.C.’s amateur sport sector.

The popular Old Town gallery will once again be part of the Royal BC Museum (RBCM) experience for visitors when it reopens on July 29, 2023.

The Province has chosen the Forager Foundation as interim operator of Point Ellice House to ensure the heritage site remains open to the public while plans are underway to find a long-term site manager.

To help B.C.’s book and magazine publishers address immediate challenges and give the broader publishing industry the support it needs to thrive in the future, the Province is providing $600,000 over the next three years.

Nearly 140 sport organizations throughout the province are benefiting from $1 million in support from the Province to host sport-related events that attract visitors to B.C. and enable athletes to compete at home.
