The Government of British Columbia continues to support community development through sport – this time by providing more than $100,000 in grants to local organizations that are hosting events throughout the province. 

The Province of British Columbia is once again hosting a major, international sporting event. The inaugural Americas Masters Games (AMG) are taking place in Vancouver and thousands of athletes have arrived from the Pan-American region to rekindle their love of competitive sport.

Twelve athletes from British Columbia are bringing home eight medals from the Rio 2016 Olympic Summer Games, including team medals in sports such as swimming, soccer, cycling, rugby and rowing.

British Columbia creative writers may apply for up to $12,000 in funding through the BC Arts Council.

Communities throughout British Columbia will share over $6.4 million in grants from the B.C. government’s Climate Action Revenue Incentive Program (CARIP).
