People and companies in B.C.’s music industry can plan for the future with $22.5 million dedicated to the sector over the next three years though Amplify BC.

To kick off Creative Industries Week, more than 70 community arts festivals are getting support to hold safe, entertaining activities this year.

The Province is providing $15 million for B.C.-based amateur leagues and teams competing at the provincial, national or international level to ensure athletes will continue to have access to these opportunities after the pandemic.

Arts and culture organizations are getting an extra boost to help keep the sector resilient as B.C.’s economy works to recover from the pandemic.

In the Lower Mainland, 318 arts and culture organizations have received $9.5 million through the B.C. government’s StrongerBC plan for economic recovery.

On Vancouver Island and the Coast, 120 arts and culture organizations have received $3.5 million through the B.C. government’s StrongerBC plan for economic recovery.

In the Interior, 97 arts and culture organizations have received $2.3 million through the B.C. government’s StrongerBC plan for economic recovery.

In the North, 21 arts and culture organizations have received $400,000 through the B.C. government’s StrongerBC plan for economic recovery.

More than 100 B.C. musicians are getting support to advance their careers, thanks to the Province’s music fund, Amplify BC.
