Commercial truckers travelling through the Lower Mainland now have a convenient place to stop and rest, as the $2.8-million Nordel Way truck parking facility was officially opened by Delta North MLA Scott Hamilton, on behalf of Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Todd Stone.

Highway 17, the South Fraser Perimeter Road, is now open in both directions after the ministry worked with the Delta Police Department to confirm that it was safe for travel.

The B.C. government unveiled a multi-step plan to help unclog congestion on the Alex Fraser Bridge and Highway 91 – starting with a new interchange at Highway 91 and 72nd, which will eliminate the final traffic signal on Highway 91 leading up to the bridge.
