The Province remains committed to facilitating an agreement between Canadian Pacific (CP), the community of Golden and local rafting companies that would allow visitors to enjoy the 2016 rafting season.

Work to upgrade almost five kilometres of the Trans-Canada Highway near Sorrento is complete, improving the safety and capacity of this important stretch of Highway 1.

The construction of a retaining wall three storeys high will be part of improvements to 1.2 kilometres of the Trans-Canada Highway east of Golden, helping make this important route safer and more reliable.
