The replacement of two older bridges along Highway 16 on Haida Gwaii is ensuring the continued safe movement of people and goods between the communities of Port Clements and Tlell.

Members of the public are invited to learn more about two safety improvement projects planned for Highway 14 by attending an information session in Sooke on Dec. 3, 2019.

The lane closures that were originally scheduled to occur this weekend are cancelled due to the forecast extreme weather event.

Drivers are advised that single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect from 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, to 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, for joint and bearing repairs on the Lions Gate Bridge.

Drivers are advised that Highway 99 is currently closed approximately 15 kilometres north of Lillooet due to ongoing slope activity at the Ten Mile Slide site.

Drivers are advised that single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect from 10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, to 5 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, for joint and bearing repairs on the Lions Gate Bridge.

As part of the Mountain Highway Interchange project, both the new westbound on-ramp and eastbound off-ramp will be open to traffic starting Nov. 2, 2019.
