The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is planning to replace the Bailey bridge which crosses the Nicomekl River on King George Boulevard.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has completed work on the $7.7-million project to replace the Highway 3 (Crowsnest) Upper Cambie Bridge.

Motorists are advised that Commercial Drive will be closed at Highway 97 beginning on Monday, Oct. 2, for intersection improvements. The closure is expected to last one week.

The travelling public is advised that the Bailey Bridge which crosses the Nicomekl River on King George Boulevard has been temporarily closed to traffic for necessary repair work.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is proceeding with an independent technical review of the George Massey Tunnel corridor to find a solution that gets people and goods moving and makes sense for commuters across the region.

Motorists who rely on the Alex Fraser Bridge will benefit from two projects going to tender today. The first is a new project to install a cable collar system for ice removal this winter. The second is for elements of the $70-million Alex Fraser Bridge capacity improvement project.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has awarded a $3.7-million contract to Tybo Contracting Ltd. to carry out the Rosedale Overhead seismic upgrade, along with cycling and pedestrian improvements to the crossing.
