The project to widen and add a safety barrier to a stretch of Highway 7 in Mission has been completed, improving this important route for people who live and work in Mission, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Starting Monday, July 27, 2020, Emil Anderson Maintenance Co. Ltd. will assume highway maintenance in the Skeena region (Service Area 26).

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has awarded a contract to build a retaining wall along a section of Highway 14 at Parkinson Hill, just east of Port Renfrew.

Work will get underway this summer on upgrades to Otter Point Road and Highway 14 through Sooke to make these roads safer for people walking and cycling in the area.

Local residents are advised that Mountain View Road, approximately eight kilometres north of McBride, is now open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
