The replacement of Nicomen River Bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway is complete.

Temporary stabilization work on Highway 97 between Callan Road and Okanagan Lake is nearly complete and the site will safely shut down for the winter months.

Drivers are advised that the Kensington Avenue off-ramp from Highway 1 westbound will be closed overnight on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, for paving.  

People travelling over the Malahat are advised to plan ahead as paving and general road improvements will begin on Thursday evening, Oct. 3, 2024, near Goldstream.

Drivers are advised of an extended lane closure on Highway 7 between Murray Street and Stave Lake Street as crews address emergency utility work.

People travelling through Parksville along Highway 19A will soon experience easier access to the area by vehicle, bicycle or on foot, as road improvements begin Monday, Sept. 16, 2024.

People travelling over the Malahat soon will have a smoother, safer journey ahead, as paving improvements will start this weekend during the evening of Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.

Drivers are advised of an upcoming lane closure on Highway 7 between Murray Street and Stave Lake Street as construction continues to improve the commercial truck route through Mission.
