The Province, together with BC Housing, the Town of Princeton, and the Princeton and District Community Services Society, has started work on 20 new temporary homes for seniors who lost their homes to flooding in 2021.

The Province and the Capital Regional District (CRD) are launching the Capital Region Tsunami Information Portal to empower residents and visitors to make informed emergency preparedness plans and keep people safe during a tsunami.

People in British Columbia who have been evacuated due to ongoing wildfires and require support services are encouraged to register with Emergency Support Services (ESS).

B.C. farmers and ranchers can reduce their risks from extreme weather through a new pilot program that will help improve farms’ climate-change preparedness and resilience to wildfires, flooding and extreme heat.

First Nations and local governments can apply for funding for projects under the new Green Infrastructure Adaptation, Resilience and Disaster Mitigation (ARDM) program.
