This week has been marked by several fatal motor vehicle incidents on highways throughout British Columbia.

Preliminary construction is expected to begin this fall on a project to provide a smoother driving experience and reduce congestion on Highway 1 east of Revelstoke. 

With work underway on improvements to Highway 1 between 216th and 264th streets, drivers should expect traffic-pattern changes due to construction activity for the duration of the project.
