The Province has appointed three new members to British Columbia’s independent Climate Solutions Council.

The Province is helping First Nations communities strengthen their resilience to the adverse effects of climate change through the launch of an Indigenous climate-resilience capacity-building pilot program.

New affordable rental housing is coming for families, seniors, individuals and people living with disabilities in Castlegar as construction has started on 13 new homes in the community.

New regulatory changes are being made to safeguard the province’s ecological reserves.

Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a new trail in Ellison Provincial Park, along with several improvements to the campground and expanded parking. 

Residents, travellers and campers are urged to use caution and remain vigilant to prevent fires while enjoying the outdoors over the Canada Day long weekend.

A seven-kilometre section of the world-renowned Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park is now open to hikers after flooding damaged part of the trail in 2021.
