British Columbia remains well-positioned to continue supporting people and navigating emerging global economic headwinds with an improved second-quarter fiscal update.

Drivers travelling overnight on Nov. 29 and 30, 2022, can expect delays on the Malahat (Highway 1) near the Tunnel Hill project site as crews bring in equipment for the next phase of repairs.

People in Abbotsford will be better protected from flooding with more recovery work underway, including permanent Sumas Dike repairs and sediment removal for sites in the Fraser Valley.

People living in the Lower Mainland, on Vancouver Island and on the North and Central Coast can expect stormy weather between today and Oct. 31.

With climate change and extreme weather becoming more frequent, people are encouraged to provide feedback about how best to prepare for future flooding in B.C.

To prepare for tsunamis and earthquakes, people are encouraged to practise evacuation routes and drop, cover and hold on during ShakeOut BC.

The Government of B.C. is helping communities prepare for flooding and is ready to assist in response to floods where necessary.
