Beginning June 1, 2023, communities in British Columbia can apply for funding aimed at helping seniors lead independent, active lives.

Residents, travellers and campers are strongly urged to use caution and remain vigilant to prevent human-caused fires when enjoying the outdoors this weekend.

New changes to the Province’s building code will ensure cleaner, more efficient buildings are built in line with B.C.’s commitment to zero-carbon new construction by 2030.

The free BC Parks Day-Use Pass Program will continue in three of the province’s most popular parks this season to maintain a balance between the growing number of visitors and conserving the natural and cultural values that make parks special.

The Province is helping keep people safe by creating hubs of police, dedicated prosecutors and probation officers focused on tackling repeat violent offending in every region of the province.

With an investment of $8.9 million over three years, the Government of B.C. is partnering with First Nations representatives to develop the first training initiative that will support co-management of land and resources.

Improvements are being made to a popular destination for hiking and mountain biking in a section of Gowlland Tod Provincial Park on Vancouver Island.
