As the next phase of renewing the Province's education funding model, B.C.'s Minister of Education is asking parents, teachers, support staff, school administrators and others to help shape the path forward to make education funding work better for students in the classroom.

The 20 conservation officers sworn in last spring are now at work in various locations throughout the province.

Adult literacy programs in the northwest region of the province are giving people the reading, writing, math and computer skills needed to understand household budgets, join in community activities and help their children with their homework.

Effective at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, the existing campfire ban in the Coastal Fire Centre will be expanded to include Haida Gwaii.

Local festivals and events will attract attendees from near and far this summer, with the Government of British Columbia supporting their success through funding for enhanced promotion.
