Effective immediately, the new allowable annual cut for the Morice Timber Supply will be 1.9 million cubic metres and decrease to 1.6 million cubic metres effective March 16, 2020, chief forester Dave Peterson announced.

After an extensive review, acting chief forester Diane Nicholls announced an allowable annual cut of 196,000 cubic metres for the Cassiar Timber Supply Area effective immediately - a decrease of 36% from the 305,000 cubic metres per year set in 2001.

Comments are being accepted until May 3, 2015, on a new discussion paper released today as part of a comprehensive timber supply review for the Fraser Timber Supply Area.
