Twenty communities throughout British Columbia will receive more than $3.69 million in BikeBC funding this year to expand and build cycling lanes, trails and paths for B.C.

Winter weather can make for wary walking conditions and unexpected falls, but with some prevention and planning, injuries can be avoided.

Twenty-eight B.C. communities have been awarded age-friendly community planning and project grants to support strategies to help seniors stay mobile, physically active, socially connected and healthy.

The Government of B.C. is investing $3.61 million in BikeBC this year, to expand and build new cycling lanes, trails and paths for healthier B.C. families and communities.

Government and Cariboo Regional District officials continue to work together to address the breach at the Mount Polley tailings pond, to test the local drinking water to determine if it is safe for locals to drink or bathe in, and to help ensure the safety and well-being of local residents.
