Contractors who build and maintain British Columbia’s vital roads and transportation infrastructure have been honoured for their work helping to keep people and goods on the move.

People travelling Highway 97 are advised of short-term closures for blasting twice weekly through the rest of December and into the new year.

Regulations and policy manuals have been issued to further support local governments as they work in partnership with homebuilders to deliver more homes for people.

Highway 4 at the Cameron Lake Bluffs section will be temporarily closed on Thursday, Dec. 7, to allow crews to remove debris that fell within the catchment barricades this week.

Southbound traffic on Highway 5 will be reduced to one lane at the New East Bridge on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m while crews conduct electrical maintenance on the bridge.
