Premier John Horgan has issued the following statement marking Christmas Day:

The governments of Canada and British Columbia continue to invest in local infrastructure to meet the needs of communities, enhance people’s quality of life, increase food security, and support local solutions that make communities more resilient to unpredictable events.

To address rising COVID-19 case counts and keep people safe, the provincial health officer is issuing revised orders, which take effect on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021.

Letters will be mailed to 1,715 people who have submitted their personal vaccine record(s) into the Provincial Immunization Registry without success, encouraging them to get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity.

The Province are marking one year since the first COVID-19 vaccines arrived and were administered in British Columbia.

British Columbia families going through separation will soon have more access to parenting supports and courses, as well as continued support for different ways to attend court appearances, as a result of updates to the rules governing family court.
