As part of Premier Christy Clark's BC Jobs and Trade Mission, Minister Steve Thomson and delegates on the forestry portion of the mission toured the Songjiang townhouse project, outside Shanghai. Representatives from China's Sichuan Airlines and the Vancouver Airport Authority have signed a letter of intent with the goal of starting a new three flights a week service to Vancouver in 2012, bringing with it a boost in tourism and new jobs, announced Premier Christy Clark.

B.C. producers exported a record-setting $80 million worth of seafood to China in 2010, and sales for this year are on pace to break it, with representatives from about 30 B.C. seafood companies and organizations embarking on the largest-ever B.C. seafood trade mission to China, said Agriculture Minister Don McRae.
