The Chief Coroner for British Columbia has concluded that it is no longer necessary in the public interest for a coroner's inquest to be conducted into the death of Robert Dziekanski.

Earlier this month, provincial and federal agencies joined forces to inspect and patrol Shuswap Lake for compliance with B.C.'s boating and fishing regulations.

Travellers are advised that the Mabel Lake Forest Service Road in the Lumby area will be closed at the 32-kilometre mark from Monday, Oct. 10 through Monday, Oct. 31, 2011.

An independent appraisal of the Crown lands identified as potential exchange lands with Westbank First Nation as part of the Westside Road interchange project has been released. This independent appraisal values the lands at $6.18 million.

Effective immediately, motorists on Highway 99 in Richmond are advised to follow new overhead flashing lights and yield to public transit buses at the southbound Highway 91 on and off ramps, and the southbound Westminster Highway on ramp.

The third phase of B.C.'s upgraded and expanded Intersection Safety Camera program has gone live at 35 more sites, in an effort to save lives and reduce the almost 250 crashes that occur daily at intersections throughout the province.
