Government is now accepting private cannabis retail store licence applications, which will allow for the sale of non-medical cannabis in the province.

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is aiming to open the first government-operated non-medical cannabis retail store by late summer, and has begun exploring an e-commerce model to offer online sales to the public.

An agreement with the federal government that would see the majority of cannabis revenue flow to the Province has been reached today, following Finance Minister Carole James’ successful federal-provincial meeting in Ottawa.
