B.C. farmers and ranchers looking to improve their climate preparedness and resiliency to wildfires, flooding and extreme heat, can apply for the second intake of funding through the Extreme Weather Preparedness for Agriculture program.

The Province, together with BC Housing, the Town of Princeton, and the Princeton and District Community Services Society, has started work on 20 new temporary homes for seniors who lost their homes to flooding in 2021.

Thirty-six communities, including First Nations and local governments, throughout B.C. will receive provincial funding to help prepare for extreme heat and keep people safe.

British Columbians are urged to take steps to prepare for spring floods to protect their families and property.

British Columbia Premier John Horgan and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee are announcing further bilateral co-operation between B.C. and Washington state to build a sustained and ongoing transboundary initiative to address Nooksack River flooding prevention and response.
