Public transit is now free for all children 12 and under in B.C., saving families money, increasing access to affordable transportation options and encouraging more people to use public transit.

A new eight-lane immersed-tube tunnel will replace the George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99, providing people a toll-free crossing that aligns with regional interests and improves transit, cycling and walking connections across the Fraser River.

Starting Sept. 1, 2021, children 12 and under will be able to “Get on Board” any BC Transit or TransLink service for free as part of the provincial government’s commitment to efficient, reliable and affordable transit for families.

The Broadway Subway Project has taken another step forward, as three artists and one team have been selected to create art installations for four upcoming SkyTrain stations.

The Province is strengthening B.C.’s ambulance system to ensure it is faster and more responsive to British Columbians, a better place to work for paramedics and dispatchers, and able to rapidly meet changing demands and needs through focused and direct leadership.

Major construction is beginning on the Broadway Subway Project, a 5.7-kilometre extension of the Millennium Line from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus, adding six stations along the way.
