Having received the report of the forensic investigation of BC Housing from the Office of the Comptroller General, the Minister of Housing has instructed the ministry to review the report and take the appropriate steps to release as much information to the public as the law permits.

More than $12 million in new funding for public safety and environment programs will support not-for-profit organizations that are helping make life better for people throughout B.C.

Twenty new temporary homes will open soon for seniors displaced by 2021 flooding, supported by the Province through BC Housing, the Town of Princeton, and the Princeton and District Community Services Society (PDCSS).

BC Housing has selected the Port Alberni Friendship Centre (PAFC) as the new operator of the Our Home at 8th supportive housing and shelter building in Port Alberni.

The Province is partnering with Columbus Homes and the Senior Citizens Housing of South Surrey Society to replace two aging apartment buildings in Cloverdale.

The Province is providing $8 million to the City of Terrace and the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine to upgrade the Terrace landfill and regional district’s waste-management facility, increasing solid-waste capacity and helping protect the environment.   

Eleven new projects will provide increased housing, public safety and economic development opportunities for people living in northern B.C. communities experiencing rapid economic growth.
