During the cooler evenings of late summer, many British Columbians are once again starting to light wood stoves or fireplaces to help keep their homes warm.

Apprentices in British Columbia and New Brunswick will now be able to seamlessly work in either province, thanks to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Premiers Christy Clark and David Alward at the Council of the Federation meeting in Charlottetown.

A new agreement with the B.C. government will allow three First Nations to share provincial revenue from the Jamie Creek Hydroelectric Project: the Bridge River Indian Band, the N’Quatqua First Nation and the T’it’q’et Nation.

A new agreement with the B.C. government will enable the Splatsin First Nation to receive provincial revenues from the Cranberry Creek Hydroelectric project.

Government and Cariboo Regional District (CRD) officials continue to work together to address the breach at the Mount Polley tailings pond, to test the local drinking water to determine if it is safe for locals to drink or bathe in, and to help ensure the safety and well-being of local residents.
