The Province is upgrading regional airports to help support economic development, improve aviation services and safety, and enhance access to B.C.’s rural and remote communities.

Upgrades and enhancements to key highway rest areas are planned for the summer as part of a multi-year plan to improve safety, accessibility and other amenities along B.C.’s highways.

Rehabilitation of the Chemainus River bridges on Highway 1 will improve safety for more than 27,000 drivers that cross the bridges every day.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is planning the replacement of Dewdney Bridge on Highway 7 and is sharing the proposed design.
