British Columbians should take precautions, as colder-than-normal temperatures and snow are forecast through next week, beginning Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022.

Drivers are advised that heavy snow, freezing rain and high winds overnight are expected to create poor driving conditions in many parts of the Fraser Valley and throughout coastal B.C.

Drivers are advised of a snowfall warning for Highway 1 over the Malahat, the Alberni summit on Highway 4, and other parts of eastern Vancouver Island on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.

Drivers travelling overnight on Highway 1 through Goldstream Provincial Park can expect delays from Monday, Dec. 5, until Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, as crews continue geotechnical work.

Road maintenance contractors are preparing for snow on the Lower Mainland during the Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, afternoon commute.
