Highway 11 between Hazelwood Avenue and Clayburn Road has reopened to passenger and emergency vehicles, restoring the highway connection between Abbotsford and Mission.

Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet reopened to essential travel on Saturday, Dec. 4 following cleanup of a substantial slide across the highway near Duffy Lake. 

The Malahat (Highway 1) is now open to continuous two-way traffic around the clock for oversized vehicles.

As winter approaches, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is readying Lower Mainland highways and bridges to keep people and goods moving safely and efficiently during inclement weather.

Highway 99 will remain closed today, Thursday, Dec. 2, between Pemberton and Lillooet, as crews prepare to clear the highway following recent slides.

Preparations are underway to reopen Highway 1 between Abbotsford and Hope today.

Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet is now open to essential travel after an overnight closure due to weather and saturated ground conditions. 

Due to incoming weather and saturated ground conditions, Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet will proactively close at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30.

Following assessments and cleanup from the latest storm, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure reopened Highway 3 and Highway 99 on Monday afternoon, Nov. 29, 2021.
