The newly built Old Fort Road will open to two-way traffic later this evening.

Work will get underway this summer on upgrades to Otter Point Road and Highway 14 through Sooke to make these roads safer for people walking and cycling in the area.

Local residents are advised that Mountain View Road, approximately eight kilometres north of McBride, is now open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

With increased travel a part of British Columbia’s transition to Phase 3 of BC's Restart Plan, passengers on the Province’s inland ferry system are reminded to adhere to Transport Canada’s COVID-19 safety protocols.

Taxi and limousine operators will pay less to keep their vehicles on the road as part of the Province’s ongoing work to support the industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
