Motorists should expect delays on the Trans-Canada Highway on Wednesday, May 10 to allow for the installation of Remote Avalanche Control Systems at Three Valley Gap.

The signing of a new collaborative management agreement between the Province and Musqueam Indian Band has strengthened their government-to-government relationship and will result in more effective decision-making on land and water authorizations and stewardship in the estuary and lower reaches of the Fraser River.

Following approval from the British Columbia Ferries Commissioner for BC Ferries to acquire a used vessel to provide direct-summer service in 2018 between Port Hardy and Bella Coola, the Government of B.C. has announced it will contribute $15 million to BC Ferries to purchase and operate this vessel.

Work on the first contract for the McKenzie interchange project has passed the halfway mark, and the second and final construction tender will be posted to BC Bid later this spring.
