With BC Bus North preparing to launch on Monday, June 4, 2018, the Government of British Columbia is pleased to confirm that more payment options will be available than originally announced.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is continuing with fieldwork, which will delay the final decision on which option will be chosen to replace the existing two-lane RW Bruhn Bridge on Highway 1 in Sicamous.

Effective immediately an Area Restriction Order is in effect for Crown land in the vicinity of the Tommy Lakes wildfire, located approximately 29 kilometres northeast of mile 109-Highway 97 (Alaska Highway).

At noon on Saturday, May 26, 2018, an area restriction for Crown land in the vicinity of the Allie Lake wildfire came into effect to accommodate operational requirements. It will remain in place until noon on Oct. 31, 2018, or when the order is rescinded. The Allie Lake wildfire-area restriction remains in place to protect public safety and to ensure the safety of firefighting personnel who continue with fire suppression activities.
