Four First Nations communities in B.C.’s northern and Interior regions will increase their clean-energy sector participation in local projects, thanks to funding from the Province.

Six Indigenous communities in the North will join the clean-energy sector with local projects following support from the Province.

Three Indigenous communities on the Lower Mainland will join B.C.’s clean-energy sector with local projects following support from the Province.

Five Indigenous communities on the north and central coast will join B.C.’s clean-energy sector with local projects following support from the Province.

Ten Indigenous communities on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands will join B.C.’s clean-energy sector with local projects following support from the Province.

Three Indigenous communities in the Interior will join B.C.’s clean-energy sector with local projects following support from the Province.

The BC Assembly of First Nations (BCAFN) will continue development and implementation of its economic development strategy, supported by $2.24 million in provincial funding over the next two years.

The Homalco First Nation is implementing a community energy plan to promote efficient energy consumption and savings, supported by a $140,000 equity investment from the Province.

The Tsilhqot’in National Government (TNG) is moving ahead with the redevelopment of an industrial site into a solar farm, supported by a $300,000 equity investment from the Province.
