People living in northern B.C. communities experiencing rapid economic growth will benefit from increased health, mental health and social services through new projects funded by the Northern Healthy Communities Fund.

Tens of thousands of people in northern B.C., including rural and remote communities, will have same-day access to the health-care support they need, as government launches the Northern Health Virtual Primary and Community Care Clinic.

Students attending post-secondary institutions in northern British Columbia have access to emergency assistance funding to help them cope with financial pressures caused by COVID-19.

The Province is working with the City of Prince George on a proposal to deliver an additional 50 safe and supportive homes for people experiencing homelessness.

The remote Kwadacha First Nations community in Fort Ware, 570 kilometres north of Prince George, is taking steps to transition from diesel to clean electricity generation and create local jobs under the Province’s CleanBC plan.
