A new state-of-the-art and seismically safe Royal BC Museum (RBCM) is coming to Victoria and will be more accessible for all British Columbians.

B.C.’s arts and culture community will benefit from $4 million in grants through the BC Arts Council’s Arts Infrastructure Program.

Melanie Mark, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, has issued the following statement in response to FIFA’s recent announcement:

Business events and workforce support initiatives, such as hiring and retaining employees, in the tourism sector will receive more than $9.3 million over the next two years as part of the Tourism Recovery Initiatives Action Plan.

Eligible accommodation providers and tourism operators holding tenure and BC Parks permits will now have access to grants to alleviate fixed-cost pressures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

People throughout B.C. will be able to enjoy more arts, culture, sports and community occasions as the Province supports more than 680 events.

More than 80 anchor attractions and tour bus operators in B.C. will receive direct support for their recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

People from diverse communities wanting to break into British Columbia’s motion picture industry now have support to launch their careers, as part of Creative Pathways BC.
